Table

So, a while back I posted picture of the table I redid and thought I would tell you how I did it.
Things you will need:
Ugly table
Paint color of your choice
Primer
Fabric(if you have fabric covered chairs)& padding if those chairs have had lots of botties sitting on them
Sand paper
Cute saying(optional)
Staple gun

1. First I bought a super ugly table with awesome potential! the legs were curved and the body of the table was beautiful, it just needed a little cosmetic help. I purchased i form Craigslist for 75 dollars(thats including the chair people!)

2. Next I sanded that thing down like crazy so my paint would take well to the wood.

3. I also got a spray primer and primed it as well.

4. Then I painted it white with a semi-glos eggshell color. I did probably 3 to 4 coats, letting them dry in between (the good old paintbruch way, no spray paint)

5. I didnt use spray paint because of the next step. I got out my sander and sanded the heck out of the edges and anywere that there would be normal wear and tear over the years. This made it look antique!

6. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought and adorable saying and put it on the table using the direction in the can.

7. I then got polyurithane and painted that all over the top of the table (this way when things spill it just wipes up and doesnt stain the table)

8. I did all the above steps with the chairs as well (except for polyurithane), but I also recovered the chairs with cuter fabric. so for this I...

9. Took off the old staples holding down the fabric and removed the old fabric

10. Went to Hobby Lobby AGAIN and got some cute fabric and some padding you dont have to get padding if your chairs are poofy but lots of booties had sat on my chairs and they were a bit flat)

11. Cut the fabric with a bit of room on all sides. Give it enough room to where you can staple it with plenty of fabric left just to be on the safe side (you can cut this off later)

12. Put the fabric face-down, then put the padding on it, then putt he seat on top of that (face down of course) and staple away my friends! (you will need a staple gun for this)

That was easy :) wish i would have taken pictures along the road, but if you have questions, let me know!
